Pinning inside the kit?!
    #25622276 - 11/18/18 02:38 AM (6 years, 1 month ago)

Good Morning Shroomers.

I'm on my 3rd flush and until now everything has been fine but now its started pinning inside the box? I have had a light above the kit but this hasn't happened until now.

What's the best course of action I take? This flush seems bigger than the second and I'm just wondering is there a way for me to cultivate all pins inside the box?

Thanks all in advance

What happens is that after the first and second flush, the substrate shrinks away from the walls of the container due to water loss. This creates a really good microclimate on the sides of the substrate for pinning. Those pins will probably just push their way up to the surface on their own. I wouldn't try messing with them too much or they might abort. Just let them find their way up to the surface. It's messy and difficult to harvest side pins, but at least its the 3rd flush.

Take the cake out of the box and put it in a big transparent tote.  Mist and fan.

Then the side pins will develop nicely.
