Noticing a bit of bacteria with an orangish tint around it, not familiar with this type. showed up late into colonization just a little bit at the very end, not sure whether to toss these jars or what?
Could this section be sliced off as a whole and the rest of the jar kept?
any advice is appreciated.
pics are below.

Pictures? If its bacteria u should be ok to just fruit as intended. You might get a smaller yield because of it but it should still fruit. On the other hand if its mold u need to toss it.

On this page, go to the top left of the page. There's a link called "pics" under your name. Once there click upload, and it'll take you to a place to upload images here. I'd recommend it for sure because it'll strip all exif files making your photos anonymous.

Jars are bacterial AF, I suspect the orange is metabolites, though the photos are pretty blurry... the infection is pretty extensive, I'd start something fresh and prep your grain a good bit dryer next time, as I suspect excess moisture when loading jars for PC cycle to be the main contribution to the issue... I'd not invest anymore time or resources into these personally

Thanks for the advice.
just want to point out that these pics are two different jars, there is one with the issue on the bottom edge and one with it about 2 inches up from there so it isnt really that extensive just one spot on each one but I agree it looks bacterial.
They were done with fooman style letting them soak for an hour in a pot of just boiled water off the stove, then left to dry for 1 hr and 15 min, while scooping occasionally. This usually gets them dry enough, I have issues whenevre I have tried to just toss em in after half an hour of drying so I usually dry longer now.

They're both thick, creamy, and sweaty... it's pretty extensive... the orange isn't the only spot with issue, just where the waste product from immune response has been deposited
