Purely because I wanted to start small. Get myself a little process boned down. Im actually thinking, after my first flush. To grate these two tubs up, and spawn to the whole tub they are in! Just a thought
This is my first ever cube grow... Only ever grown pan cincts before!
Just let those flush out. And go for bigger. Breaking it up is a bad idea.

I'm sure someone has already said something but misting is strictly for the substrate. The humidity that matters is the humidity at the surface.
We're trying to recreate the process of rain and evaporation.
When it rains it rains everywhere, not just on the walls. Mist your sub directly OP.
but only when it looks dry.

So if I just lift the lid, and give a light misting, making sure it gets the surface of what the pics show above, and the walls of the tub, I'll be good?
I'm sure I've read, misting the mycelium and pins, can abort the pins?

That's a different species. Panaelous Cyanescens has been known to be sensetive to direct misting. So foggers work really well with them.

Haha! Yeah I know my pan cincts didn't like the direct misting. Stalled the pins...
Well I'm obviously doing something right so far, I'm getting some pins! I'll upload pics either later or tomorrow!

Mrs is going to hate you within 6 months of your first harvest. You’ll end up taking an entire room, a spare fridge, and running a dehydrator until your whole block smells of dried mushrooms.
Maybe a little excessive there, but damn this hobby is addictive. I cultivated about 10 years ago. Grew up, and came back with a vengeance.

So glad they weren't contaminated!! Quick question, the first pic, does the sub/myc look ok? Looks a bit odd to me? Could just be over thinking it though haha!!

Also, the yield looks a bit sparse, any advise on boosting it at all?

XnMe said: Oh yeah that's lookin good, how many days you in from birth?
I'm about 10 days in, after birthing, grating, and spawning to bulk
I'm hoping it will start to fruit in the next couple of days! What do you recon?
hard to say i had one that was 12 days total from spawn to tripping balls the other was like 30 maybe longer and both looked like that after just the first few days... but in the end they both fruited and went fine. mega pins on all sides on the longer one.
EDIT: i responded before i read the whole thread....

This hobby never stays low key for long. LOL The chamber they are in now is perfect to fruit both of those shoeboxes.
