What's bacterial about it? Have lid unlatched so should be fruiting conditions. Just an unmodified shoebox

The thick matted mycelium in the upper left corner just looks a little bacterial to me. The mycelium can react that way under stress. Hyphal knotting doesn't look thick and milky in ideal circumstances...use these photos as reference:

It could be because I used a large grater to grate it and ended up with some rather large chunks when trying to mix it with sub. I'll keep eye on it and thanks for pics for reference.

Mushrooms don't taste great, but dried mushrooms are like concentrated foot, so if you are used to that you can handle them on pizza or sauteed with steak
Do you mean regular gourmets or cooking cubensis? I have not tried the latter, am curious, lol, but i do always make tea, which does cook them, i just dont taste the fruit. But the tea is mushroom-y by taste
I kinda like that somewhat subtle shroomy taste to the tea. I tend not to use any fruit or peppermint or whatever, i just like to taste the shroomy flavor, without nausea.
I never eat raw shrooms. Used to. It always has and does cause stomach issues for me

Why both silly, mushrooms are food, treat them as is
Real talk tho, shroom tea is gross if you don't add. Other shit to it. Thats why i only use tea as a last ditch effort in making dried shroomscpalatable. Fresh mushrooms cooked are the least nausea ive encountered, i don't buy into the hype that heat dosnt kill actives Ive noticed a bit of difference between cooked and uncooked cubes in regards to potency. Used a clone too.
Take that as you will Mushrooms are food, treat them as such. Be aware of where your tolerance is. So you don't spice up your breakfast burrito a little too much before seeing the family

Yeah, I would imagine some fresh brewed yerbate and some fresh lemon juice would make some pretty killer tasting tea. Anything lemon is going to taste good with mushrooms because it kills all the bitterness.
