The things that makes Life Forms so good is that it is a largely ambient mind bending album. It is one of those albums that you should leave by your hi-fi so you have the chance of remembering to play it when you are mushrooming. That said I find it impossible to listen to normally, as it is too mind mangling. Then next album"Dead Cities"is absolutely fantastic, one of the most beautiful trippy albums of all time, straight or high. I have not heard their other stuff.

I've never been disappointed by anything FSOL puts out.
If you've not heard them, also try Amorphous Androgynous and The Boards of Canada.
Oh, and Global Communication.
