Pinkish Tint on Freshly Germinated Mycelium

Hello,
I inoculated my jars on November 11th, and they germinated after 3 days, on the 14th.
Up until today all the growth was cottony white. Today though, I spotted some pinkish tint over some of them, and I fear that it might be some sort of contamination.
Here's a picture;
Now the camera didn't quite pick up the colors, but there's a light reddish tint on the white. What do you guys think? Is it contaminated?

Hard to see in the picture due to the lighting, give it another few days..if its not pure white under a white LED then you've got a problem

Even if it's a mild 'infection', could the mycelium eventually fight it off? Or once it's there, it's over?

If its infected then you trash it, there's no half way..But give it a few days and re-check

Sad. I will have to order another batch of spores then. Would anything good come from burying them outside?

I will keep them to colonize further for a few days, then I will bury them. I have 6 other jars that I inoculated separately and they haven't germinated yet. But the fear has taken over me. What I did do wrong, I don't know. I used distilled bottled water to make a spore syringe, and I didn't boil it beforehand. Would that be the reason? That's the only thing I can think of, other than that I believe I followed every instruction for the sake of being sterile.
Not thick enough dry verm layer? Damn, not knowing is agonizing.

Yeah boil water for sure if you're making your own syringe. Get into agar if you wanna just bypass syringes and have clean inoc all the time. Spores as well won't always be clean, but the fact there's so much contam in your jar, I'd bet it was already introduced in the water.

I just ordered another print, and this time I'm going with agar and grain. Gonna complete my research and get all the materials needed until it arrives, then I'll strike with full force. Thank you.

Update:
You know what I did? Healthy mycelium was already spreading across the jars, and while not being so sterile, I just scooped them out and transferred into a newly made jar.
Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I don't have high hopes either.
Fresh spores and agar supplies are on the way though, I'm counting on them.
One way or another I'm doing this.

Pots for burying? I'll bury them outside. I have a SGFC, thinking of making a monotub also. (I will use trays for bulks)
I have a domestic pressure cooker, thinking that will suffice.

No PP5 pots for agar usage, or you'll need to buy some petri dishes..Long as your PC has decent pressure, ideally you want 15psi and enough space for quart jars to fit for grains

Ah, I've ordered some petri dishes and pre-made nutrient agar. I will sterilize them along with my grain jars and for lid air exchange I will use tyvek cut from children pencil box :P

Sounds about right..don't forget to go out and get a big tote 66qt+ for a still air box, but flip it upside down and burn two arm holes in and then you're good to go

I made one with gloves attached. Though it's not that big and limits movement to some degree, it still does the job. I am planning on cutting gloves at my arms length to turn it into a SAB

Caution on the gloves..You can make a piston effect and actually drag more dust and spores through when you use them, compared to free arm holes

So far so good;
I punched a gas exchange hole in the lid and covered with double layer of micropore tape. No dry verm layer. All the new growth is snow white and I see no contaminations. If it colonizes to full like this, I am thinking of making a BRF to grain transfer.

If it manages to get to 100%, but I'm not sure about transferring BRF to grains..I'd take some mycelium and make some agar personally as otherwise you'll probably end up wasting the grains when they contam out after a week or two

Hey, so do you suggest using the mycelium in the BRF to inoculate agar, instead of just starting over with the spores? if so, hell yeah, I'm down with that.

Exactly Anything else is a gamble, whereas with agar you can physically see if spawn is clean..Take it to agar, once you see growth, transfer to a new plate..I usually get to T3 before I do anything, but sometimes use T2 if it's been a particularly good looking plate that's grown to the edges
