Hi guys. I was lucky enough to find some p.cyanescens growing in my friends back garden, but they was only a couple. He had no idea what they were so I took a spore print and i am going to put some spores on agar to see how they grow.
I know as i am a noob it is best to start with pf tek but as these are wood lovers and like colder climates i am a bit stuck on which direction i should take. I was thinking agar to grain spawn, grain spawn to bulk using bods easy af bucket tek with coir and then maybe adding a hard wood chip top layer and then leaving outside once it is fully colonized. I don't have any cubensis spores and i loved the potency of the wavy caps, so would love to try this.
I am in the uk and average temp is around 12oc but colder through the night. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

Once you have a clean culture on agair, transfer a wedge to a mix of sterilized wet woodchips and sawdust.
If you still have some fresh fruits then alternatively you can just take a piece from the center of a fruit and sandwich it between two pieces of wet cardboard.
Once that is fully colonized mix those colonized wood chips (or tear up the colonized cardboard and mix that) with more wet wood chips (not sterilized is fine). Keep the chips wet while they colonize.
Keep expanding until you have enough wood chips to make a patch the size you you want.

Thank you for such quick response.
I have also place some pieces of the mushroom ( the bottom of the stem) inside layers of cardboard so i will see how that go too.
I dont have any fruits left now. just a print and my fingers crossed!
Ive read so much on mushrooms the past month ive even started dreaming about them.

Yeah, mushroom dreams come with the territory.
This is healthy. Thinking about mushrooms all the time will make you a better grower.
