Store your plate upside down Also do a few more transfers but make shore to not get any thing that's not growing flat.

all of them were store upside down resting on the lip of another to all air circulation through the pore tape. I just don't get why its a poof formation.

do not store them upside down. you do not want the moisture getting the filter wet. the moisture in the container will evaporate over time. when you go to inoculate the plate the first time open it right side up then grab the base and tilt it to let the excess water roll on the floor of your still air box.

Im having the issue of the moisture never evaporating out. Maybe its how Im pressure cooking them.
