agar to fruit
    #25612464 - 11/13/18 04:35 PM (6 years, 2 months ago)

Quick question

Take pin, drop on agar, take first growth to clean,  let culture grow, take a wedge and put it in Grains, test, fruit.

What time frame would you be looking at for each stage

There's no definite answer to this, a lot of factors come into play, but generally:
clone to agar - 3-5 days for decent enough growth for transfer.
1st xfer - 1-2 weeks for plate coverage.
grain spawn - 1-3 weeks.
Test? No test, If it looks or smells bad, it's bad.
Spawning and fruiting - 1-3 weeks for first flush.

All approximate values, some can be more or less but these are pretty average IMO.

Thanks.  So taking the first pin usually grabs speed genetics and dont you test the culture to see if its any good befor slanting it?
