Birthed PF Cakes, Can I get an extra eye please?

This is my 2nd attempt at PF Cakes, the first went 100% successful.
These cakes were inoculated on October 16th and birthed yesterday. I left the foil on too tight and they seemed to stall just a bit, I flipped them and birthed them several days later.
They don't really have a smell, I also went a little light on the dry layer by accident.
I remember my last cakes being a little more bright white than this, maybe I am a little paranoid.
The BRF from cakes seem to be showing through a lot, or is it some sort of contam? I broke two apart and they were colonized all the way through. I tossed those.

they look a bit patchy, but not too bad. did you wash off the dry verm layer? it looks like it's still attached on the bottom? also, I've found good results dunking them in water for 24 hours, then rolling in verm, it helps create better conditions on the surface of the cake to help prmote pinning. also, you probably didn't need to toss the ones you broke in half. you could have done some experiments with those, but all good
best of luck!

Also, I forgot to mention that the temps did average a little lower than normal, probably around 66 and my mixture was a little more wet than I'd like.
I completely forgot to wash off the dry layer, 1) because I tried most from memory (learning) and 2) most of it got colonized since I didn't get a lot in the jar for the dry layer.... am I messed up at this point? Should I leave them? Take them out and dunk?
I didn't dunk because I did last time and wanted to compare results, again, just for my own learning.
EDIT: I scraped the dry layer and rinsed, and placed in cold tap water.... hopefully these things are still contam resistant!
