right material, but black's gonna make it hard to see what's goin on with your plate.
I'm not totally sure on the conversion rate, but they look kinda pricey. If you're willing to spend that much, you might as well get a case of disposable plates.

 also, they're massive!
can you find something like this?
https://www.amazon.ca/LANDUM-Plastic-Disposable-Dressing-Containers/dp/B07GH49135/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1542064518&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=sauce+containers&psc=1
you might be able to find flatter ones. I found it difficult to properly see contams on mine which were about 2" across. get them as wide and flat as you can just like petris

Im looking for something i can reuse. I have a whole bunch of petri's now, but soon will be running out of them. I saw some posts on those rubbermaid or glad food storage containers. Perhaps i should look into those.

I used little cheap containers from the grocery, probably can find them there cheapest instead of ordering online. I like the real plates better though.

I get some "pasty plates" there $2 for a 4 pack and reusable! There called glad mini rounds but I use the other brands as well if I can't find those. As long as it says pp5 on the bottom ur good to go and almost all of the tupperware things are pp5 but check to make sure. I also use glass baby food jars... They also make reusable glass petris but they can get pricy but u only have to buy them once

Where from.. $80 for 500 is a stellar deal. If i can find a place with that price I would just use petri's.

Unfortunately those petri's don't ship to canada. but i found another source $134 for 500. Its a decent price.
That grafting tape looks way better to use then parafilm tape which i hate. In the last year I haven't been using anything, lol. Just don't bump the lid off.

Oh that’s a bummer because I was going to say applied for the Amazon credit card and you get $50 off your first purchase then just pay off the credit cards the next day and your petri dishes are only 30 bucks
Also be sure to keep your tape at room temperature if you don’t it becomes easily easily Crackerable or doesn’t stretch correctly depending on the temperature It is parafilm which is the exact same way with temperatures

Don't use grafting tape, use plastic wrap if you want to save on parafilm.
