Exotics that’s can grow on coir?
    #25607508 - 11/11/18 04:14 PM (6 years, 2 months ago)

Hello friends. I’m just wondering if there are any exotic mushrooms ( pan cyan, pan azure, psilocybe cyan, psilocybe mexicana, pan cambos etc..) you can grow on Just coir verm and gypsum? I can’t find too much about it. I know people say they prefer a manure coir combo and I’m working on aquiring some manure. But in The meantime anyone have any success with this? Any info is appreciated. Much love.

Looking into this as well, as I just ordered a pan cyan print. From what I gather, pans can be grown on straw instead of dung, or a mixture of both. Spent grains from homebrewing can also be used. So many ideas since my last grow over 2 years ago! As far as just coir, people online seem to think that it would be possible, but wouldn't have the best yield.

If you cant find manure(get outside an look i get it for free even from deer) find out what manure has an try to replicate it.

Mexicana and pans will pin and grow off simple malt extract agar. You can go as simple or fancy as you want.
