I have a giant worm in my outdoor mycelium!

Quick question! How will worms affect outdoor growth? I've had 3 1lb rye grain spawn bags get trich. I caught it early on and the bags were about 50% done, so I was able to salvage a bit! I buried the healthy mycelium in various parts of a wood chip, bark fir, and yard mulch outdoor garden bed I set up for growing the completed spawn. It has been about a week since I did this, and with a few patches of success, I've one patch of healthy mycelium attract a whopping 10-inch earthworm! I've heard rye grain is not the best for outdoor grow because of birds, but will earthworms kill the fungi before it has time to establish itself among the wood chips? Will it help the quality of the mycelium? Outdoor temp ranges from 32F - 60F right now with regular rain.

What species? I wouldnt think so, id think it spread it through its slime trail.

I wouldnt worry but if you wanna help keep some bugs away use clovers, i know theyre mildly antiparasitic so it should help in some way.
Im planning on experimenting with safe anti bug sub additives in the future that wont be harmful if absorbed by the fungi to me.
