Best way to revive old spore print?

I keep reading conflicting opinions on the best way to handle old spores. In my case it's a spore print. It was kept in a fridge in a sealed bag. 4-6 years old. I am thinking of putting some on agar plates and seeing what comes out. I am generally pretty good at isolating mycelium, even from pretty contaminated stock. However, with viability of the spores in question, perhaps there is a better way. So, anyone want to share success stories?

I would streak the spores on a very soft agar maybe 1% or so, but a nutritious one like BRF or some pet food at around 4% strength.

you can try to make brf+verm pucks in small glass jars to streak or drop spores in to.
fresh spores for me only lasts 6 months at room temperature, so I make spores as fresh as possible, though refrigerating is also good. the problem is the fluctuation of the temps in the fridge, that might make way for condensation in your prints, making it even more contaminated...
4-6yrs old sounds good pls report back on your project so other readers might better understand. if you need a print or two, just pm me.

A success story seems to pop up for this every year or so.
