Only hope can give rise to the emotion we call despair. But it is nearly impossible for a man to try to live without hope, so I guess that leaves Man no choice but to walk around with despair as his companion.

This! Sign of a true genius.  I do not want anyone but me to ever have to wipe my ass.  Kill me promptly if I can’t.

That and looking good and being fit adds to my life currently.  If I was wicked overweight I couldn’t climb a mountain or jump out of a plane or run circles around people in paintball.  Looking good, feeling good, living good, while I can.

The most deeply beautiful people are those who are but carved ever stronger by their trials in suffering and darkness, enduringly bright illuminating stars, even still sparkling among the endless black of all too often excruciating paths of mortality.

Also it helps with lifting furniture and other random stuff. Or your job, for some people.

I fucking adore the feeling of things that were once heavy feeling lighter.

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

The zero G planes which are sensory approximations are like 5k a ride - not cheap exactly but definitely affordable
