so im a week into fruiting my cakes and my verm casing is coming off considerably. is it copacetic to add more casing or let it ride?

I'd just let it be...the verm is only there to help with surface moisture...so you may have to mist a little more then normal..but that just depends. Keep an eye on them and when they seem dry mist.
