Before you take them out snap a few and make sure there is absolutely no moisture in them otherwise you risk losing all of your hard work

Honestly people talk about correlation between heat and potency loss, but water boils at 212 degrees F and people make active tea all the time (which typically intensifies the trip, as opposed to reducing potency).

Maybe I'm not educated enough to know the difference, but my reasoning says as long as long as you don't get above 212 degrees F (100 C), then the hotter the better.  Heat speeds up the drying process immensely, the only issue is people's reports of potency loss.

But anyway, dehydrators don't usually get over 190 (Fahrenheit) and there's usually different temp settings, so I'd say it's totally up to you but the hotter the better imo.  My dehydrator only has one temp setting (165, I think) and my mushies have been turning out perfectly fine.

Happy exploring!
