Monotub vs SGFC vs ?

I'm in the middle of my first grow ever. I've got 4 jars of WBS, two are B+ and two are maztapec. The growth looks good, and its been almost 3 weeks since inoculation.

I originally planned to go with a monotub, but I'm having trouble finding a tek I really trust. I've seen people have a lot of success with SGFC's, but it looks like they don't yield as much. I've already bought coir and verm, so it would be cool if the next step involved going from my grain spawn to the bulk substrate. What ratio should I use for verm/coir?

So I'm looking for someone with experience to chime in about whether I should go through with monotub, and possibly rec me a solid Tek for that. I'm looking for highest yields with the least chance of fucking up, obviously lol.

To summarize: what bulk growing method is best for me? Monotub, SGFC, dub tub or some other thing? Any advice on transitioning from grain spawn to bulk substrate? Any protips that might save me from contams or just other basic mistakes? Thanks, any info is greatly appreciated! And please, comment on my growth and tell me how it looks.

Shoebox in a tote, seriously simple. I use coir as substrate, sometimes I throw in some verm. I spawn at a 1:1 sometimes 1:2 not much difference between the two. Just go to making shoe boxes for a decent tek. If you spawn a shoe box 1:1 and put it into the fruiting chamber you should see some action in a couple weeks.

SGFC is for PF tek, it was not intended to be used with seeds. If you already have the grain done, I will go for a monotube with pasteurized coir (or manure if you dont mind) with a little of gypsum.

To be honest im a noob here but I think you dont have to follow all the teks so accuratelly, just use the right proportions (always remember that your bulk sholud never be beyond field capacity) and be clean (pasteurize the bulk, use a SAB, etc).

If you do wanna follow the teks, I will recommend the Damian one:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11916595 , he adds gypsum before the sterilization, so just remeber to add some.

If you want a video, RogerRabbit has one on manure, just use the coir and follow his steps:

I run out of monotubs, and don't like keeping colonized grain around for too long. In addition to my monotubs, I have mini shoeboxes (2.3L/2.4Qt), MudaFuka bottles, and one bucket that has a mix of cubes.

The shoeboxes inspired by bod's SSS. Right now covered with foil for colonization - I don't have enough shopping bags. They'll maintain their own climate.

The MudaFuka bottles are a variation on his recipe, and in preserve jars. Harvesting is going to be a bitch. They are going into a SGFC when ready.

I dunno what to expect from the bucket. It's a half full 10L bucket.

Finally, I have 8 grain jars with a low vigour cube that I'm thinking of putting to a patch in my garden with some manure.

---

Cubes are very forgiving and versatile. There are many ways you can grow them. What is best for you absolutely requires you to try different teks. Pick one from the TC tek list in the sticky on this forum.

Not ragging on rainout, but horse manure is not necessary, it's just more work and more chance of contamination. KISS, keep it simple stupid, I used to use hpoo and pasturizing sucks. Seriously coir is all that is neccessary, easy to prepare and reliable results, if you want to make another step add some verm. And for real shoe boxes are easy  as fuk to control, you dont ruin your whole tote with one bad jar, that advice is coming from experience. If you want to produce more totes are the way to go IMO but learn on a few good shoe box grows first. Get a tote to put them in and they pretty much handle themselves, work on keeping conditions good. Good luck.

Yea I know its more problems but manure is cheap and easy to obtain, just litterally walk near a riding school and you will find it; also is far more nutritive than coir. I was just listing his posibilities, if he already has coir then its better to use it. The video I showed is because is a RR one and the only one he makes a bulk substrate, as an example.
