Dunking (and cold shocking)?

I was searching through the threads and couldn’t find any up to date. What are your opinions on dunking brf cakes? Have cold shocks been proven to be beneficial or has that been proven obsolete? What are some of your methods?

They are tropical...you can raise the temps and have awesome pinsets.
Rinse after you dunk no need for cold shocks

I've never cold shocked a cake, but dunking after each flush helps a lot.
