How's my AA+ tub looking?

Just wanted some input on my tub. Its 54qt straight coair with 6qts oat spawn. It was spawned 10/27 I flipped the lid 4 days ago. I may have my field compasity a bit on the high side I'm thinking more FAE or it just a bit slower due to colder ambient temps. Any input would be appreciated.

And the myc is looking a lil matted. Have you been misting that?

You should not mist the mono, if I understand correctly, that looks so wet.

It depends...sometimes you do have to mist if it's not dialed in right, but the one in op's post...

Ok so no I have not misted. But as I said I feel like my field capacity was too high. As for bacterial I thought it was just a few metabolites.

Field capacity being too high is a likely culprit. Not enough FAE is another. It shouldn't be anywhere near that wet.
Once you get a lil more experience you'll understand why we say it looks bacterial. Those metabolites are just one indicator.

- What is dialled in? Is when you have a filter on the mono right? I dont know the meaning of it, sorry.
- You only should mist when there are bruises or aborts, for what i read. Also it's better to dunk them than to mist them I think.

Dialing in a monotub means getting the passive FAE set to where you don't have to mist. It maintains surface humidity while still allowing for the necessary evaporation to take place.
That 2nd bit of info you posted is geared towards cakes not tubs. Just clarifying for you.

She'll very likely still fruit, but based on the circumstances she may not last long or fruit well. Watch closely as to contain any contams that show up other than your bacterial (likely) as bacterial tubs are suceptible to that ish.

I really appreciate all the input guys and or girls. I left the lid off over night now it's on at a 90° angle here's a pic with about 20% less moisture.

right on my man, looks better but you may still have difficulty pinning as i'm sure some overlay will occur here from non-reproductive sections of myc.
highly recommend utilizing a casing layer when it comes to monotubs; there's just so many benefits and very little downside to them. it retains the correct moisture for the inside of your tub without much misting at all. shredded coconut husk pasturized w/ bucket tek works perfect.

I have seen a lot of people on this site claiming that you should not mist a mono, only after a flush, or just dunk the entire mycelium mono in water for some minutes to increase yield, hope I can get my own results to clarify someday.
