I birthed two of my cakes 7 days ago with a 14 hour dunk and placed them in the sgfc I constructed, I mist as needed and fanning 4 times a day for FAE. today I’m going to purchase a hygrometer, but do any of you have any ideas why fruits aren’t producing. This is my first attempt at brf, is this cake just bluing or is it mold and are these white bumps primordial growth? Thanks- noob http://

Bruising, and they look dry, I'd mist them more and leave the lid on. SGFC don't need to be fanned they get plenty of fae through the holes. And those are pins on the bottom, there is more moisture there, aka more ideal conditions there. Just mist a couple times per day and leave them alone.

I would recommend moving your sgfc away from the wall a bit. You want at least a foot of clearance on all sides if memory serves correctly. Trim your foil; you are blocking upward currents from getting anywhere near the cake. As already mentioned, your cakes look super dry; mist as needed. Why is there polyfil in your lid? Are there holes in the bottom of your sgfc?

The fc has holes in a 2” grid pattern across all 6 sides, as for the polyfil i don’t quite know what i am doing yet... that can probably explain that. thank you for your advice, i moved the chamber away from the walls and misted. Also will the poly fill hinder my results? Should i tape the holes with micro pore instead?

Are you talking about the pins in the second picture at the bottom or the ones in the fourth picture(white bumps)?

Be sure to trim that foil back as well man, definitely not helping your situation. I doubt the poly has a huge impact one way or the other, but I'm not basing that off anything I could objectively prove.

To clear up any confusion, fanning is not FAE. Emulating FAE with fanning would be fanning like 5 times per hour. FAE is 24/7. Update us with the pictures.

Keep them misted. The bruising is from drying out.

Well it seemed as though you were grabbing the cakes. After I harvested they turned Smurf blue for two days. Yeah cut down on foil, I had that issue.
