Yeah, if you open up in front o t hood, it'll be fine. I could see it going wrong with just foil and moving it to the hood though.

I think he's talking about the pitcher. Pasty plates covered with foil won't be a problem.

Nah...the pressures inside and outside the pitchers stay equal to each other as it pressurizes so it doesn't really disturb the foil.

That this might be one of those things you come to regret later on.
With petris, the only thing there is to lose is a sleeve of petris
Commercial farms make it work. The lot kid will runnit no problemo.
Thanx for the vote of confidence buddy. Goes a long way. Appreciate you.

I haven't used them to make plates yet but someone running a big commercial edible operation says it worx great for him so I don't see why it shouldn't for me.
He's got a walk in autoclave for his spawn bags but does his agar in one of these beakers in a presto pc. Opens it in front of the hood and pours his plates. Sounds like a good tip to me.

Lol I thought I might trigger someone with the dog. It shipped in a cardboard box packed with loose Styrofoam so I think it's ok in open air for a photo. My dog wont be helping in the build.

Here is a link to his agar video...if anyone is interested. I've been to his facility in MO. a few times.

Nope I use 64oz Growlers with foil made lids. I put one layer that I wrap would my thumb down into the top then one layer normally over that. Works great and I can fit 3 of them into my AA921

My trusty Nesco finally gave out on me,and my cheap ass spare dehydrator worked ONCE. Made an emergency run to the walmarf.(had a batch waiting to dry) Picked up the only dehydrator they had. Costed me $30,but the fruits will be happy and dried.

I'm posting this 'cause it will go in my journal anyway. Worked on my flowhood for 3-4 hours today but had a plunge cut kick back on me. Oops! It's in an area that's not so visible so I'm debating wood putty or buy another sheet of Birch plywood. So far I'm really happy with the design. Hoping to get it finished up for my master jar of Pan Tampanensis for G2G.
 Still have all my fingers!

In your debating, take into account that there will be quite a bit of pressure building up against the sides of the box, so wood putty is only a viable option if it stays put. If you're not entirely sure, glue a wood scrap on the inside of the panel to give it some extra sturdiness.

Good point but that F-up will be in my work space in front of the filter so it's just cosmetic.

Walked by some old Halloween clearance items 90% off.

$.39 each! Couldn't not get all 3 of them. I've used this stuff before and it's pretty clean and mostly pre-shredded. Pretty convenient, but WAY overpriced normally.
