Um shit idk, that yellowing might be from it drying out. Tighten the polyfil? Just a tad. If nothing goes wrong you should have fruitz of youd labor in a week.

I have those yellowy blobs in my tub too. As far as I have researched, they are usually just mutant primordia. I waited a few more days after they appeared and so far the tubs are pinning just fine. No weird smell or any other signs of distress. I think its probably fine as long as it doesn't start to smell or produce any other colors/metabolites. Keep an eye on it and let us know

Yellowing is metabolites from it trying to fight off bacteria. Maybe too much direct sunlight exposure or too high temps. Some more info on the grow would be nice.

Is this penis envy? Looks like pretty standard blobbing. Pick one of those and see if it bruises.

sorry for the lack of info. so this is Malabar. inoculated in a 5 grain spawn bag from midwest growkits then mixed with one of their bulk casing mixes (Coco Coir, Vermiculite, Hydrated Lime, Gypsum, ph buffers, ph stabilizers, mineral water and a few other choice ingredients).
I don't think it's too dry, there's moisture beaded up across the entire surface at all times.
the yellowing didn't concern me as much as the smell honestly. it went from having a nice clean mushroomy smell to more of a musty sweatsock kinda smell.
I wasn't sure what you meant by "bruising" but when i picked a small chuck of the orangy colored part today it turned kinda blue in a matter of minutes
