 Questions about my bulk sub spawn

My first 2 tubs. First one is 10 days into colonizing, seems very slow- treasure coast, MS syringe / rye jars Second one is 7 days,Golden Teacher,MS syringe / rye jars first and only time I've peeked.
60qt tubs, hpoo, coir, verm @ 33% ea, with gypsum and lime. Tubs will be cased.
Should I patch the first tub and obviously keep it colonizing? Any advice on either tub would be appreciated.unsure why tub 1 is so slow.

I would ditch the foil, use the lid, and tape the holes in your tub. You're working with MS so it could be contamination or genetic. I can't tell the hydration status of tub 1.

Holes are taped, visual inspection - moisture looks good. Lids aren't latched, but lids fit pretty good, not a very sloppy fit. I thought foil helps with co2 build up. Should the slow one be patched?Tubs are prepared the same. No visible tams.

I'd suspect bacteria; what was your spawn ratio? Elevated Co2 for better pinset is outdated misinformation and will slow things down, and make conditions more favorable for contaminants... mushrooms and mycelium are aerobic organisms that require oxygen for healthy growth....

Ratio was 1:3 6 qts spawn, 17qts sub, 4" depth

Just a waiting game at this point... I'd introduce fruiting conditions if you suspect excess moisture: coupled with stale air, will only exacerbate any underlying bacterial infection

The treasure coast ( slow tub) was also slow colonizing rye jars, about a week slower.Fast germination rate, but slower for 100% colonizing

 ... Doesn't sound promising, might get a flush: but I'd start a new project... you working agar in a SAB or in laminar flow, or syringe straight to grain?

Lots of other things going on... Agar,grain liquid,etc.. not upset,plenty to work from. Have plenty of jars in line for tubs. Gonna give her another week.
