Noob pics. Comments? Improvements? Suggestions?

The blue cake was birthed a week early du to pinning in the jar and only recieved a 12 hour soak. The other 5 waited a full week after 100% colonization and soaked 24 hours. I'm concerned weather my lighting will be adequate, from the two ambient windows.
All criticism and suggestions welcome!

6 quarts of oats 50/50 with coir in unmodified tub. layer under the cakes is wet verm. misting and fanning multiple times a day with extra misting on the blue cake cause it looks too damn dry

I think he is doing a humidity chamber rather than SGFC. If so, no need to elevate it since you aren't going to be drawing in air from below.

IME whenever I've had a cake go blue it means it's not good anymore...
Lighting should be okay..but depending on where you live and which way the window is facing, it might not get enough.
No perlite in your area? Normally people use perlite as the humidity "regulator" with cakes. Looks like you've got verm down there.
Make sure the cakes are getting enough FAE. I just tested some cakes in an unmodified tub and they weren't getting enough FAE even with fanning once in the morning and at night. Lid cracked open like yours.
The grain tub looks pretty awesome though! I think most people put a light "psuedo casing" over the top of the exposed grains to help with fruiting I think. I've read that fruits wont grow from the grains just the substrate.

If you're not doing a SGFC it's not necessary to elevate it...maybe he just wants it off the dirty floor!
No offense Coffee_fiend...your place actually looks really clean haha!

Progress report pics!

I realized that the vent I have in the ceiling just outside the door blows directly on my tubs. I was wondering why my coir in the tub was turning light brown and drying out so fast. The AC kicked on while i was looking at it and i figured it out. I've been leaving the lids on un-flipped to counteract the vent air flow and immediately had pins on my cakes the next day. I get a little pooling on the sides of the mono even though there are dry spots. I soak up the pools, cause i'm sure thats not supposed to be sitting in there.
I also purchased a clippy lamp with a 6500k bulb that should be arriving tomorrow to settle my mind on lighting issues.

False, I've fruited several grain jars unintentionally. My left over G2G jars will fruit mushrooms from the handful of grains I leave in the jar. Really I should be cleaning them out asap but sometimes I get lazy.. lol

That’s just bruising. Probably from drying out, don’t waste the cakes.

Ive always had bad luck with tubs on the floor.
Don't know if it's just bad luck or if the contamination near the floor is a factor.

Wow I was completely unprepared for the veils to be separating tonight. Lucky for me the people of walmart were unfazed by my 3am purchase of a food dehydrator

Yes you're correct it is bruising and I knew this. I guess I was referring to my experiences when my cakes start bruising. I haven't been able to being back a greatly bruised cake...sure from picking it up or harvesting..but when they bruise from drying I haven't been able to pull them back.

Same, only tub i saw bruising in happened because just underneath there was a small amount of white trich i could see through the side, i wasn't sure if it was or not so decided to watch- next morning it literally devoured half of my shoebox and i tossed it immediately.

You can usually bring a dried bruised cake back with good misting, less fanning, and more patience.
