First attempt- PE monotub

This is my first post, not sure if I’m doing this correctly. I’ve read tons of threads from all you wonderful people but I can’t seem to find one that helps my case. It’s day 10 since introducing fruiting conditions, and i can’t seem to get the tub to pin, the mycelium has water on the surface that i can’t get to evaporate. I fan fresh air 4 times a day and light limits the walls in the morning. Any advice?

Looks like you saturated the surface and matted it. Those water bubbles that don't evaporate could also be the beginning of trich. If it we're me I'd case it with 1/4" of coir. The surface is fucked.

Grim and LotKid have done their fare share of PE grows; be sure to check out LotKid's tips (sorry if you've got one, Grim - just happened to have this one open).

The surface was saturated during the colonization period as i seemed to develope moisture that accumulated on the lid and then dripped down, as for getting coir, i haven’t been able to find any around me, do you have any other recommendations? Also can i salvage anything out this or is it too far gone? Thank you so much -Noob

Check the link above - case with a peat/verm/lime/gypsum casing and go to town.

Should the verm be at field capacity or dry? I pasteurized with 170 degree water and let cool

I've had a few decent PE variant grows but nothing as exceptional as LotKid's yet. If you have those options available I'd follow his Tek. I only made the suggestions I did because it seemed your options were limited based on that you can't get coir. If you're casing with straight verm it should be at field capacity.

I'm with you on that - in this case I'd probably throw some lime in there to offer some acidity and maybe get it above the comfortable level for trich and help balance for further flushes.

Thanks a lot guys! I ended up casing with verm that was pasteurized.. about 1/4-1/2 inch! What do you recommend for amount of FAE and misting at this point?

As much FAE as you can handle without drying it out. Mist as needed.

Hold off,
Seems like you are fucking with it alot....
Let it do its thing... Let it dry out naturally. In your down time, start doing more jars and start over.
If this is from MS, you may have a few days to go before even considering throwing it out...

PE can literally bore you to death. Slow AF. I've had them go 9-10 days not doing shit in between flushes waiting for pins. Worth it though.
