First ever flush and some questions

First grow here. Full of questions. Did BRF cakes. Shredded 2 quarts worth to shoeboxes with CV and covered to let colonize a bit. Took one 1/2 pint cake and fruited it in a dubtubbed shoebox. FAE was a little bad in this but it was a test. Have questions on both.
Here is the cake early yesterday and later after harvesting. Later in the day the veils had torn and I harvested.

1. How do I clean up the embedded verm in the stems? 2. Do they look good? Harvested at right time? 3. Total was about 47 grams wet. Sound about right?
The shoeboxes I set into fruiting at the time I harvested the cake. One of the boxes put up a huge mutant fruit in the corner, with no FAE at all. Guess there was a small air leak here. The fruit looks odd to me, but the veil tore overnight so I pulled it this morning. Here it is. This one weighed 32 grams wet by itself!

 1. Is this safe? I would assume so it just looks odd shaped to me from growing in the corner. 2. How often do you get ones that big?

1. Use your fingers to push the verm off, I have also heard of people using a tooth brush 2. Harvest time was good, you picked slightly late as the caps have already opened almost all the way, not bad though 3. Harvest sounds about right
1. You can use the mutant 2. You can get big ones often from straight genetic luck, or later flushes. In the later flushes sometimes mycelium will put out a couple big mushrooms instead of a lot of small ones, doesn't really matter because the weight of mushrooms it outputs will be about the same.

After you dry them, the verm will easily brush off. I use my fingers.
