Are my mushrooms losing their potency because I didnt dry them properly?

Picked some Psilocybe Subaeruginosa a few months back, dried them in a dark cupboard for about 3 days with a medium sized fan, placed them into a relatively well-sealed jar and then, the jar into the dark cupboard.
Normally, I put some silica bags straight away and set and forget the jar,but this time I forgot the silica and only realised this recently.
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they'd think the potency may have degraded over the last 3 or 4 months, considering the nature of how I stored them.
Much appreciated
Cheers

i don't think so, what matters in case of potency is the race of your mushroom and with what substrate they have been cultivated. and also keep in mind that when you are going to eat them there are many recipes out there, best you chew them, it's what i like to do but if you don't like the taste do not overheat them (like pouring them into boiling water in case you want to make mushroom tea with it), overheating kills DMT which is equal to less potency.

I have no evidence but I would imagine as long as you dried them good enough to not turn white and fuzzy and rot in the jar then they probably didn't lose any noticable potency.

Potency should be fine but I would watch out for mold or rotting if they weren't cracker dry. After I have mine over the fan for two days I put them in a tub with some dry rice to suck the leftover moisture out. I get nice dry shroomies every time

You can boil mushrooms for an hour and they don't lose potency. Dmt has to be vaporized to work. Heat activates it. I smoke dmt like a dab off of a hot piece of quartz glass.

thanks for mentioning that, i read this information somewhere on this site when i was researching for a good recipe to be creative, i ended up chewing them ( i like the taste ), but something about that seems to be right, when soaked in tea the trip will usually start in 10-15minutes and end in 2 hours, however chewing starts the trip late (~1h) and will last for 4-5 hours. any comment on that?
