Questions on Mycelium Metabolites in PF tek

So I had a couple jars sitting in a closet when about a week ago I noticed the colonization had slowed down and turned into a more fluffy growth, after closer examination there was a bunch of yellow liquid inside around the injection sites.
Ok, so obviously first thought is contam, but I did some research and discovered metabolites so I figured I'd wait and see where it went.
Now a week later the fluid is a darker orange color, but shows no sign of spreading at all and colonization seems to have returned to full speed.
So, was a correct and this is metabolites? And if so, is their any sort of special treatment I should give them before putting in a terrarium with other cakes?

Metabodies usually are a sign of stress, there could be some unseen contam in the jar.
pics would help.

If it is just metabolites you should be able to wash it off with water and be fine.
But I've had bacterial contamination that was an orange/yellow before. If it still smells nice like mushrooms you should be okay..any funky or off smells it's probably contaminated.
Regardless the mycelium is stressed...they dont produce metabolites for no reason..
But be careful smelling jars too...waft the smell to your nose dont just inhale deeply haha dont want all the nasties in your system.

Update: birthed the cake finally.
Most of the orange washed off but one part of the cake seemed to be stained with it.
Smell was normal.
Also, there were these little clear chunks of goop I just picked off the outside. After looking around the forums I just assume this is some waste or something from the mycelium. I put it in to soak and see how it goes
