Tired of Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram. * 1

I’ve been wasting my time being a sheep to social media. I waste time looking at hella memes, liking pictures of cute girls, posting stupid Snapchat stories and looking at my views every 5 minutes, I’m tired of hearing everyone’s same bullshit on Facebook and people arguing over the stupidest yet simplist shit, I’m tired of replying to stupid group chats whenever my homies can literally text me instead whenever they want to hangout, I’m tired of writing this run on sentence.

It takes too much of my valuable time out of my hands, it’s time to grow up and start managing time better. Once I get caught up with my shit I’ll pop in back to social media a bit. But for now and further down the road-

It’s time for me to take a break.

But I’ll be here in the shroomery. Id rather stick with you assholes. Y’all are pretty cool

I’ve been thinking a lot here lately about getting off social media.. I have a bad habit of getting caught up in the endless loop of scroll & refresh, when there are more stimulating / productive things I could be doing with my time. I don’t have a working phone anyway, I use a severely beat up phone with no actual cellular service so it’s really only useful for the sweet camera and when it’s connected to WiFi. I always end up wanting to rejoin though, so I dunno. I’d love to have one of those non-smart phones with the slide out keyboards again, they were pretty dope

I only upgraded cause i got mine wet and it ruined it and i thought about upgrading new tech.

I don't mind social media as much since I'm mostly just a lurker and don't post much on anything anyway. Not really obsessed about views, attention, etc. I did have to get off facebook though, that shit is cancerous as all hell, I swear I would lose brain cells everytime I get on it, so I just deleted my account.

My GF did the same thing. She got addicted to Facebook scrolling. It was really weird to watch her "fight it".

If you let social media get to you just as it did to me, you’ll lose hella brain cells. At least I did. I feel like things will get better for the best than the worst. I plan for it to be the case. Younger people especially in my generation has social media revolved in their every day life and even their everyday activities. It’s so sad.. everywhere I walk at in university 95% of people’s faces are looking down at their phone. They open the door looking down, they walk past people looking down without giving them a smile, they don’t pay attention in class becuase they are on their phone.

It’s so depressing guys I feel like I can’t take it anymore.

I wish I could find the comparison photo its like teenagers glued to their phones and on the other side its a black and white photo of people ignoring each other on the train because they are glued to their newspapers

I want to read books and gain knowledge. A growing biologist like myself doesn’t need to be wasting her time drowning herself in constant memes, constant social media, and so much shitni already mentioned..

I’m going to try to read books. So many. I want it to be things like “the art of arguing/reasoning/logic” “the art of being right even when you’re not” “forensic biology stories” and so much stuff. Hell I’ll even read relationship books like “reflections of a man” just to be happy I actually read a FUCKING BOOK.

Man sorry I’m venting and acting like how I am here guys. I’m just really trying to do what’s best for myself.. and honestly as a byproduct I am a little sad i gave up on social media.

I’m not asking anybody “how they do it”
What you don’t realize is that I’m not asking “what’s the secret”. I’m owning up to what I do and did and finding my own ways to not just be a better person, but to be a more smarter person as well in terms of absorbing the world instead of absorbing too much entertainment on my phone.

Windex I may misinterpreted your message, sorry I’m just in vent mode right and not thinking straight. Everyday I try to be a better person and this is hopefully another step on becoming a better person

thats ok Im glad you are taking steps and trying to better yourself (as we all should)

if reading the right material instead of entertainment is going to put you in that direction I say go for it.

Just remember to be kind to yourself and have fun every now and again. Too many people take life too seriously

As soon as the words "I can't take it," found their way from her mouth she immediately remembered. "Trent.." she said to herself, this was a man who truly took all there was to be had.

She packed up her things. A bag, clothes, food, a tent. Provisions. This was to be a journey. She was nervous, she checked in her mirror three times before she left because that is what women do. She locked her door and took a deep breath, she knew she wouldn't look again at her home with the same pair of eyes. This was to be a transformation.

It was a long drive, much relief was had once she heard "You have now reached your destination" coming from her navigation system. She stepped out of her vehicle and looked up high, the anxiety was clearly building within her. "Canal Peaks.." she had to say it to herself to make it more real, make it something she can face.

The climb was easier than she expected, each step seemed to take a weight from her soul, but as she reached closer to the main peak of the Canal Range, slowly could she see a lone building at the top of the mountain. That was the place she'd been so determined to find. It was only a matter of time before she had completed her journey.

Before she entered the Temple of Trent, she took a moment to gaze upon the unique architechture. Resplendent in gold and granite, the temple was a sight to behold. Clearly this had the influence of Trent upon it.

Entering the temple it was very wide and open, with a massive cathedral ceiling painted with gay sex in the style of Michealangelo. There was a strange yet comforting tranquility and silence, a man sat lotus in the center of the room. He seemed to glow with a soft white light.

"Come.. my child.." he says with a smile.

"Excuse me!?" says alt.of.gen, clearly not quite ready for what was about to transpire.

The man, Trent, smiles again with a loving passion. "Please, come." He waves his hand to draw her closer. Her immediate feeling was uneasiness but with Buddha Trent, she felt safe. As she walked closer, pedestals and walls of strap ons and artificial dicks galore came up from the floor. She wanted to stop, but she knew this is where she was to be.

Without a word she walks past Trent and his anus, directly to the toys behind him. As she reaches for a double headed dildo, Trent stops her. With utmost seriousness, "You can only pick one." This was not going to be easy. If she was to succeed she would have to be wise. Carefully she examined each piece, finally being drawn to one strap-on of particular girth and size. She pulls it off the rack and walks over to Trent, heart beating with a growing panic. Trent, for a moment, looks seriously upon this choice. It was not long before he again smiled and said, "Magenta. You have chose correctly." Trent then lifts up his monk robes and exposes his anus to the innocent alt.of.gen. "Please, put it on." This is exactly the transformation she was looking for.

Update of classroom:

Currently sitting in my chemistry class. 19/21 people are legit on their phones (including me) for whatever reason. I sit in the very back and I can see 8 people on Facebook snapchat and instagram.

I’m the only one on the shroomery

I quit using FB myself
Alot of time gets caught up in arrogance  or slightly funny memes


I rather work out or play keyboard or guitar
