Hey guys, just looking for any input regarding my shoeboxes mycelium and had a couple questions~ thanks all that participate in the thread. :smile:
1. Is that aerial myc in my tubs? i am using dubtubs with 2 binder clips so i'm pretty sure i have good FAE as the gaps are pretty big :/
2. Does it look properly hydrated?
3. Since my substrate isn't the most even, would that have any great impact on my flush?
4. Does it look like normal growth altogether?

It looks really good. 

There's aerial myc there, it looks properly hydrated but certainly not needing any less water, and even substrate is a good thing, but I think flushing is mostly dependent on the genetics.  A vigorous strain will flush like crazy even if the substrate is uneven.  The growth looks a little better than normal.

If you end up getting a lot of side pins, you might want to take them out of the shoebox and put em in a  big transparent plastic tote to fruit.

Gotcha! Thanks so much, have any suggestions on how i would remove the substrate from the tub without harming the myc too much?

You brace it with your washed palm, fingers spread to support it then turn it upside down and have it gently but firmly stop suddenly to make sure it jars loose from the container onto your palm.

The cake is now on your palm and I use the freshly-wiped-with-alcohol shoebox lid to place on the exposed side, flip it right way around and put it in all in the transparent tote to be misted and fanned a few times a day.  If the water builds up you can turkey baste it out.

It's no big deal.  The myc barely skips a beat.
