BRF And Coffee Ground Substrate

Would a Brf/Coffee Grounds mixture be a viable substrate for a modified? The lids I use are Self Healing Inoc Ports/Medical tape so contamination wouldn't really be an issue. My main concern would be moisture and acidity of the grounds.

No. Follow a TEK until you know enough to not have to ask this kind of thing.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.

YES buy more as coffee grounds is NOT a substitute for vermiculite, it is only possible as an additive.

I guessed that much, I just hoped it would work since adding a little coffee to my vermiculite speeds up colonization by a couple days.

It doesn't speed anything up. You're seeing genetic variance. Coffee is way more trouble than it's worth.
