Eating before mushrooms not tripping?

So I recently had my first mushroom grow from multispore. However when I took them (6 grams of golden teachers) I didn’t really trip and made a post in cultivation to see what I should do. I thought I just grew some really impotent mushrooms. One person said it’s because I ate before I tripped and that my colon was full of food. I wanted to get some more opinions about it. What do you guys think? Could eating a big meal like 2 hours before make me barely even feel 6 grams? Small amount of visuals, and body high.

Maybe you have a very strong natural tolerance....?

You aren't in any other meds are you ?

No. No medications. And I’ve eaten mushrooms probably 50 times in the past and never had that problem. Sometimes fasting sometimes not really thinking about weather I’d eaten or not. I didn’t think it would matter that much either but.. I love taking high doses of mushrooms but 6 grams should have had me in space if they’re good mushrooms regardless of eating I thoufht. He seemed very sure tho Haha

I always eat something before. It's difficult for me to trip on empty stomach. And I always trip hard

It would have an effect on the trip for sure but you should still be able to feel it. My guess is something was off about the mushrooms. I’m not a grower but if you take 6 grams dry and barely feel anything than something must’ve gone wrong there.

I wouldn't really expect much impact from a meal 2 hours earlier.

Maybe if it was directly before.

Maybe it's the spores...?

Was it a reliable vendor?

I have heard of bunk spores though I believe it's rare

Any mushroom should have you tripping hard at 6g imo, even if you ate 2 hours earlier.

Yeah I got them from a reputable vendor. They’re definitely golden teachers bruise really hard blue just not very trippy lol

I’ve read that from multispore it can happen cause their are just a crazy amount of genetics but

Sounds like genetics, possibly loss of potency during drying/storage.

I think we've all experienced it at some point, you managed to get them to grow so just keep going - take clones before you dry then when you eat some that do the business, you have the genetics.

Yeah it’s gotta be genetics. I harvested straight to the dehydrator. And immediately ate them cracker dry no storage Time haha.

Mushrooms are processed and dephosphorlated in the liver. If there is a bunch of food stuffs waiting to be processed, the mushrooms aren't going to simply move their way to the front of the line so you can trip. Logically thinking, it may be a possibility for the mushrooms to mix with whatever food is in the gut and be more of an extended release being that it's being digested a little slower with other food.

So, with that said, if OP had a large enough meal, there is a good probability that there was a significant amount of food still left over.

Bro but 2 hours and 6g...?

I know everyone is different but for me I highly doubt that would produce the effects op is talking about.

Maybe it's a combination of many factors and that is one of them but 6g..?

I've mixed in 1-2g with food and tripped much harder than expected.

2 hours seems a reasonable time to digest food and then the mushrooms enter and are digested afterward.

Maybe I'm wrong

Op I guess try fasting for a good 6-12 hours or so, redose, let us know what happens

why is it some people yield seriously potent actives,
and others are so weak they might aswell be growing oysters?

im pretty sure i've ate cubes that did nothing to me before aswell,
MY guess is the grower did not add proper nutrients for actives to be produced.

Grown in rye grain jars. Spawned to coir vermiculite gypsum substrate. I know people say hpoo is better. But a lot of people do awesome off coir vermiculite gypsum. Unless I’m missing something
