Reviving this post again since it's a very interesting topic!
Anyone having luck growing this?
Thinking of getting some seeds of that - if someone can pm me a reliable vendor with original seeds I would be thankful!
Cheers and happy growin

Indeed. I am also interested in growing this plant.
I went looking for seeds on the internet but it seems that there are a dozen shady places trying to sell them and even more different names for the plant.
I'm also going to look for some desmodium gangeticum seeds since it's probably easier to find and a lot of people sell dried leaves.

This is what I am concerned about...different vendors with different looking images of the plant. So who has the original?

Well, there is one method of getting the correct seeds. Take a vacation to the habitat when it's seed time and nab some from the country of origin. If I'm ever wealthy enough, getting original seeds from collection sites is something I fantasize about.

You know DW, I've planned trip for that, this summer in Peru and Bolivia for Pedro seeds. It's actually way cheaper than you would think. Plane tickets and covering missing income are the hardest part, the 4-5 star hotels down there are only <$70 a night. It gets cheaper the more you turn it from play to business. Though buying tickets a year out makes them super cheap.
Would love to try and do that with Japan and the moss that contains THC-P but that is a super expensive one.

This sounds interesting. I heard about that moss too, I thought you could order it somewhere I remember reading about some well known lichen expert talking about mixing orange juice or something acidic with lichens to create delta-6-THC if I remember correctly but I couldn't find it last time I searched...

It's difficult! I've been looking for some spores or moss material but there is nothing. It's a quite particular/uncommon in Japan to begin with so it's nearly impossible to get with out a direct source.

So I sowed around 100 seeds and after 2 months a few are starting to germinate. The seeds I got are different from OP but looking at different sources online I think mine are correct maybe different types or plants? Hopefully mine is active after a few years growing I'll find out.

I have been focusing heavily on Phyllodium pulchellum lately and believe I've come up with a repeatable tek for germinating seeds consistently. My goal is to put it together as a tek after testing it a bit further and ensuring that its truly repeatable.
The plant is fairly difficult to keep going even after germination so there is more to learn and experiment with here.

I got some seeds going and they didn't require any special treatment. They are legumes so should fix the soil as long as you use real soil. So far going pretty easy
