Phyllodium pulchellum, the ancient Soma? Grow-Log & Discussion 3

Julian Palmer very generously offered to send me Phyllodium pulchellum seeds recently, and today they showed up in an envelope with a beautiful Sacred Lotus post-stamp. The ruler is in centimeters.
Julian is a well-known Australian psychonaut, ethnobotanist, sacred plants advocate and public figure. Many know him as the inventor of Changa. Recently, he went on a thrilling quest around the world for 5-MeO DMT plant sources. He talked about this adventure at the 2017 Entheogenesis Australis conference and posted a re-rendition of his talk on his youtube channel. A very, very highly recommended watch:
One of the last plants he investigated turned out to be Phyllodium pulchellum. It's an Asian plant with published analysis that proved extremely promising, containing not only much higher (~10x) levels of 5-MeO than the other plants he found, analysed and bioassayed during his research, but also DMT, Bufotenine and 6 unresearched beta-carbolines.
When he finally managed to locate the plant in Thailand after an unfruitful trip to Taiwan and bioassayed a tea made from the leaves, he realized this plant is most likely the best known candidate for the ancient Soma of the Vedas. It ticks all the boxes:

Very little information and pictures of Phyllodium pulchellum seem to be available online, I hope to change this with this thread if my attempts at cultivating this beautiful plant are successful.

Wow, that's quite fascinating, i feel the easy preparation for experience might draw a lot of attention to this, whether that's good or bad is hard to say but very promising none the less. Good luck on your endeavor, wishing you the best mate!

His talk was quite interesting and he's been quite busy lately finding out new things and collecting seeds like you have here. Nice to see this being spread further than our shores. I had a great chat with him at EGA, we spent over an hour picking each others brains.
Goodluck with those seeds MeanGreen.

Fascinating! Hope you can grow a nice brew that is active without any extra MAOi's.

May I join the party?

I will take better pictures later on. The seeds do look different than the ones you have. Do you have a good source of pictures from seeds of the plant?

Yeah I was gonna say those do look quite different from mine. I'll try to ask Julian for pictures of the pods on the plant.
You can make out some greenish pods on the right of the 2nd pic in the OP, coming out of the round parts which have opened. My seeds are very squarish and almost translucent with a visible black dot inside if you hold it to a light, which I believe is either the actual seed or the embryo.
Someone else on SAB received seeds and there's a bit of discussion about germination here: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?/topic/45584-phyllodium-pulchellum-seeds/&tab=comments#comment-560815

If you take a look at the (bad) pictures from the paper "Seed germination of two medicinal plants: Desmodium Pulchellum" you might find some simmilarities to mine. The shop where I got the seeds recommends using cactussoil with perlite and vulcan granulates. for aiding germination they recommend Gibberellic acid.
Another document I found about germination says it can take months to germ. http://www.members.westnet.com.au/wackos/PDFs/Growing%20your%20Phyllodium%20pulchellum%20plant.pdf

After more and more research, I came to the point, where I found the picture of the seeds I got on shaman australis. They claim those can´t be Phyllodium seeds.
Well I got unsure.. and started looking at pictures and pictures and more pictures of this fabulous plant, where one can see, how the seeds look like on the plant.
They actually look like on MeanGreens pictures! Julain Palmers seeds are still on the seed pod. No reason to discredit my seed:
This ist what I later found from someone who has grown the plant. If this nobody whishes me to have the pics taken down, please PM me.
On their pods
Depoded

That's awesome, congrats man! I definitely wasn't bashing your seeds on SAB, just wondering. What you posted makes sense, I'll try to deshell some see if they germinate, still no dice on mines.

Thanks MeanGreen & Julian for the inspiration to try growing this species. This is my strongest one at about 6 months from sowing:

Great guys
Joining the party as well as i just received some seeds from a generous source... how are you guys' plants at this point? They all still turned out to match PP?
I also wonder, if this plant is a member of Fabaceae, that means it is a good nitrogen fixer and could be nice to grow with fungi in the ground? Unfortunately i don't think the climate would be a match so I can't really grow PP outdoors.
Anyway lets first see about germination what is the germ % like?
