Here is a good newbie question(I hope)
    #2558364 - 04/14/04 10:48 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Now before I get pounced on please answer!

Every time I use the microwave(and my oven) to "sterilize" my verm it always shrinks and goes flat and holds way less moisture than it should-How can I avoid this?

A simple question deserves a simple answer right?

Fire away!

plastic tupperware-and I have used less and more h20 and still the same.It just keeps going flat.
Can you just put it in the oven dry?Or is it mandatory to add water prior?

glovebox would be fine as long as the h2o is sterile, then you should have no problems, btw when doing something like this be very very sterile even more so then normal, treat this like you would treat agar

I assume the verm is needed for a casing? If so, you can just spray some water in after the steralization if you want. Sure, it isn't completely sterile... but It works fine.
