It’s very difficult to connect on some levels with people who don’t/haven’t tripped. It’s no different than if you travel for a while and come home to your old friends and something isn’t the same. I’m lucky to have friends I’ve tripped with who “get it” and are fine with the quirks and not-giving-a-dang about social bs that emerged in me after tripping pretty heavy.

I think that alienation post tripping is one of the biggest hazards of psychedelics for thinking people. Places like this are important.

As for dating, maybe hang around more like-minded people, expand your network. That’s usually how people meet potential “suiters,” in my experience. Take a random sampling of people, guys or girls, and, in most cases, you’ll find people caught up in the same social game. Find your diamond in the rough.

Besides getting off, meaningless sex is meaningless.

I learned that by having lots of random and meaningless sex.

Humans aren't dogs.

You're meant to have sex with someone you're similar to, meaning a deep connection, because it is through sex that two humans being come together to create life and give birth and bring a new soul into this realm. Who and what we are join together and form a new living creatures which contain both our parts.

More like our society is going from monogomy to polygomy as a way to destroy the family structure and further control of our society.

All these broken homes and one parent families because we just have sex with whoever.

The ancients understood the sacredness of parental relationships and family units.

Our society seems to have dismantled it.

It may be intentional.

It could be argued we started in polygamy, with a lot of orgy/partner swapping vibes - leading to strong group units with shared responsibility of the offspring (if no male knows which children may or may not be his, he'll treat them all as his...in theory).

Obviously we are way past that being a way to live, but for societal reasons rather than anything evolutionary.

The monogamy of the parental/family unit has more likely been destroyed by rising individualism - it matters less what your family thinks or has planned for you than what YOU want, that's what western capitalist ideology wants and needs us to believe.

There are positives and negatives to both those approaches, and we're unlikely to see and experience what true polygamy would bring - as we're in too large social groups and have too much knowledge and expectation around procreation.

I think I agree with a lot of what you're saying.

I feel like movies, TV shows, social media, even if you take a psychology course in human sexuality, they will tell you we were never meant to be in a monogomous relationship in terms of evolution

It's almost like our society promotes and teaches promiscuous behavior and hyper sexualizes everything.

I feel it's had and is having an impact on traditional beliefs of the importance in a monogomous relationship.

Now days people brag about being faithful as if it is something to be deserving of honorable mention.

Once upon a time, it was simply the norm.

I'm not sure it's ever TRULY been the norm, only in very recent history has it been seen as the only acceptable way to exist in a relationship.

I think there's a lot of truth in us never  being meant to exist in monogamous sexual relationships, in terms of biology and evolution it makes no sense whatsoever.

However, practically every aspect of what it means to be human has advanced beyond our evolution many times over...biologically we're very similar to what we were 70,000 years ago, living in (arguably) orgiastic hunter gatherer societies of a hundred or so people.

Yet now we live in a connected globalised state, in cities of many millions, with technology driving us way past what we're physically adapted to.

Many of our existential and relationship issues can be attributed to this, imo.
