The whole Burzum / Mayhem history is pretty crazy.
IIRC one of the band members killed himself with a shotgun and was found by a fellow band member who proceeded to the store to by a disposable camera and snap some pics, one of which was later used as an album cover

That's Euronymous, the guy Varg stabbed to death. He was a real piece of shit, apparently.

There’s other types of aggressive electronic music that aren’t hardcore!  Dark synth stuff can be pretty in your face.  The album that the song below is from feels like being in the head of some kind of malfunctioning cybernetic warrior in the dystopian future.  Real dark, energetic, twitchy stuff.

Lol that reminds me of the time my high school history teacher included the 4th crusade cover on a PowerPoint presentation. I tried to tell him it was some damn good death metal but he didn't seem pleased with my interruption.

Really been jamming out to this band the last week. Mostly this song and then the biological enslavement album https://hemotoxin70.bandcamp.com/track/incessant-existence

Then these guys

The fact that one listens to a kind of music does not have to mean that one has to sunbscribe to the point of view the lyrics are about, on the contrary,m music allows you to step into other worlds you would never set foot into. Neonazi hate music, soccer hooligan music, terrorist hymns, stuff you fully oppose, but can use to better understand the intended audience with, and as a consequence, you understand the world better.

Listening music OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and letting it power you, for Good, not Evil.

Music offers doors to the very best and the very worst, to the most comfortable and the most uncomfortable.

In line of aggressive music, here's some more, some unreasonably belligerent antifa taunting neonazis:

always fun to sing along with when frustrated

Very good point Burke, andf great addition.

Dutch Hardstyle is sweet to pump up the energies to dance all night, or pump out the surge of energy the pills gave you, however you party, and thus, great for driving in-your-face emotion, and well, a Ki upsurge, which is what I'm after.

My main attraction to powerful evocative music, no matter what direction the power flows towards, is at a tool to generate a Ki upsurge, be it pleasurably or aversively, be it a passionate love or a literal red hot pepper up your ass.

To truly be Lord and Master of your square meter (dutch saying) one must Master every aspect of ones self and be able to raise power and quench it when it is needed and in a useful constructive way.

Had a lot of anger issues in my youth
but that was a personal favourite outlet, something about the song gets my whole body into it

but being aggressively angry is really draining on my energy
and eventually just slid over to calmer more comedic anger

less draining, but still feeds the same demons

Quote:
[Intro]
You must die! I alone am best!

[Verse 1]
I hope ya flip some guy the bird
He cuts you off and you're forced to swerve
In front of the Beatles' tour bus
A Bookmobile and a Mack truck
Hauling hazardous biological waste
The light turns red you have no brakes
And "Hard Copy" gets it all on tape
So you can see the look on your face

[Chorus]
... Die Die Die Die Die Die Die
... Die Die Die Die Die Die Die

[Verse 2]
I hope your Pinto begins to spin
Takes out a disabled Vietnam Veteran
Mows down a Nobel Peace Prize Winner
And maybe some orphans having Christmas dinner
Perhaps even the British Royal Family
And the Rabbi that's clutching the bottle-fed puppy
And we can't forget the newlyweds
And those Jerry's Kids are as good as dead

[Bridge]
I hope this helps to emphasize
I hope this helps to clarify
I hope you die

[Verse 3]
I hope your cellmate thinks he's God
But C.N.N. refer to him as "Bowling Ball Bag Bob"
Serving time again for abuse of a corpse
Only this time the victim's a Clydesdale horse
While he masturbates to photos of livestock
He does the "Silence of the Lambs" dance to Christian Rock
Eats feces and quotes from "Deliverance",
And fights with his imaginary playmate Vince

[Chorus]
... Die Die Die Die Die Die Die
... Die Die Die Die Die Die Die

[Verse 4]
I hope he grins like Jack Nicholson
And forces you to play a game called Balls On Chin
And whatever happens next is all a blur
But you remember "fist" can be a verb
And when you finally regain consciousness
You're bound and gagged in a wedding dress
And the prison guard looks the other way
'Cause he's the guy ya flipped the bird the other day

[Bridge]
I hope this helps to emphasize
I hope this helps to clarify
I hope you die

[Outro]
... I hope you die!

Yeah, I had a very rough childhood too.

I was a Hellchild, not in the sense of a demonic evil fuck like venom intended, but as a poor innpocent kid born behind enemy lines, in Hellish circumstances, surrounded by evil fucks, struggling my way outward.

To defeat the Beast one must know the Beast.
Thats where Venom came in.

Quote:
VENOM - HELLCHILD

Hellchild

Demon of delights you won't fight

Hellchild

Tonight's the night tonight
I walk the streets of darkness
Indulgence in the air
Too late to save the few
Who knew of what and were
But as I near the answer
Grows into a lore
Satan's commandments
From the pits of hellfire roar

Hellchild

The midnight oil is gathered
Scents of lust ignite the air
Bodies naked golden writhe
Their beauty without care
Babylon their peasants dream
My talisman drink the blood elixir
In pyramid demand
We have told you once before
Now you listen and take heed
You are a servent
To the dark immortal breed

Hellchild

I walk the streets of darkness
Compulsion sings despair
The beast dictates the words
For every soul to wear
Black mist Mendes whispers
Locked behind the door
Take the keys to egypt
And sing your evil score

Hellchild

Incidentally, if your beef is with the church, this is the most blasphemous thing I ever set eyes on. I guess the band was exorcizing the demon of having been brought up by unpleasant Christians, with a dash of Antisocial personality disorder and occultism in the cauldron.

Quote:
VENOM - POSSESSED

Look at my eyes and you will see
Fire is burning inside of me
Fire it burns
Fire it burns
Look at the children
Look at my eyes

Look at me, Satan's child
Born of evil thus defiled
Brought to life through Satanic birth
Raised in Hell to live on Earth

Come look at me and I'll show you
Things that will open your eyes
Come listen to me and I'll tell you
Things that will sicken your mind

We drink the vomit of the priests
Make love with the dying whore
We suck the blood of the beast
And hold the key to deaths door

Through many a tormented night prevail
Thy excorsions can but fail
Though crucifix doth durn my flesh
I shall not yield to you unless I die!

I am possessed by all that is evil
The death of your God I demand!
I spit at the virgin you worship
And sit at my lord Satan's left hand

I care not for the priests who are crying
I answer to Baphomet's call
A cry for help from the dying
Means nothing to me at all

I am decreed by lord Satan's fine evil
To destroy what all mortals love most
Satan is my master incarnate
Hail praise to my unholy host

Look at my eyes!

There were a number of us metal heads thrashing around together

it makes me wonder if part of the widespread appeal of an artist like Eminem
was that the lyrics were more readily identifiable
remember him having some fairly aggressive stuff back in the day,
perhaps that was part of his appeal to me and my peers - and part of why he collaborated with numetal artists at the time

Eminem - Kill You

Quote:
[Verse 2]
Bitch, I'ma kill you! Like a murder weapon, I'ma conceal you
In a closet with mildew, sheets, pillows and film you
Fuck with me, I been through Hell, shut the hell up
I'm tryna develop these pictures of the Devil to sell 'em
I ain't "acid rap," but I rap on acid
Got a new blow-up doll and just had a strap-on added
Whoops! Is that a subliminal hint?
No, just criminal intent to sodomize women again
Eminem offend? No, Eminem'll insult
And if you ever give in to him you give him an impulse
To do it again, then if he does it again
You'll probably end up jumpin' out of somethin' up on the tenth
Bitch, I'ma kill you! I ain't done, this ain't the chorus
I ain't even drug you in the woods yet to paint the forest
A bloodstain is orange after you wash it
Three or four times in a tub, but that's normal — ain't it, Norman?
Serial killer hiding murder material
In a cereal box on top of your stereo
Here we go again, we're out of our medicine
Out of our minds and we want in yours: let us in, or I'ma kill you!

Here's a classic I was jamming to yesterday

Here's another odd one. Christian black metal. Not the type of thing you'd want if your "beef is with the church", but it's still one of my favorite black (white?) metal albums

But then again if your beef is still with the church
