Trump to end anchor babies through an executive order

Axios reported that Trump will be able to prevent anchor babies by using an executive order. This is definitely a big move forward in slowing down illegal immigration and loop holes that are involved.

I am very happy Trump is hard on immigration. He is struggling with budgeting the wall through congress, but he is using the national guard on the border and attempting to move forward from where Obama left off.

I hope, in the future, Trump can make more progress.

I never thought I'd say this, but I don't think that even trump is stupid enough to believe he can do that without a constitutional convention. He's just tired of his supporters like Bowers and Sayoc being the headlines instead of him.

Well, he has a good record. McCain fucked up the repeal of ACA, but Trump pushed ACA aside by repealing the individual mandate, which is the only thing that matters for Joe Blow.

What does tht have to do with birth-right citizenship?

You do realize BRC is a constitutional amendment right? 14th to be exact.

Repealing it would take more than an executive order; It would require another
amendment to overturn the 14th amendment

A US President can interpret it in any fashion he desires.  It's up to the courts to decide if he's correct or not.

Either way, this issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how this policy is constantly being abused by foreigners.

Since it’s obvious the order will change nothing. Trump is either a moron and likes signing things for fun. Which is entirely possible. Or he’s playing politics. My guess is that it’s 50/50.
