Hi friends. Thank you Ziran for putting this together. I've been a lurker for about a year now and have tried two different batches of 10 jars following this to a T. Unfortunately none of the first batch colonized, but I did get full colonization in 2 jars from the second batch of 10. I am thinking my success rate is so low because my substrate was too dry.. Is that a possibility? I followed the field capacity guidelines (that gif is amazing to say the least) but am thinking it was still a bit dry.
The more important question here, though: what do you all recommend for a fruiting chamber for just 2 cakes? I am hesitant to use my large SGFC tote because I think they will dry out too fast (winter is dry in this neck of the woods).
Thank

Doesn't waiting 12-20 hours to mist after rolling cakes in dry verm dry the cake out? It probably absorbs some water from the cake which is why it stays on better after waiting 12-20 hours.

I already have it.. thats why I asked How do I adjust for the fact that the psi cant be regulated like the stove top PC? Most guides I've read say to keep it at 15psi, but this one does not have a regulator to control that.
Also, thanks for the heads up on the subject line, I just changed it.

First off, your guide is very helpful, thank you
Now, aren't you supposed to shake the spore syringe up before inoculating? The first time I followed this tek I didn't and ended up with 2 jars with no mycelium growth and a couple jars that only had growth from one spot of the jar. People said that I should've shaken the syringe.

You can if you want, but each drop should contain thousands of spores you cant see.

So thankful for this tek🙏🏽 Going to pair it with a HC for my first grow and see how everything goes. Once dry season ends I’ll try a SGFC. Thanks again!! 🍄 🍄🍄

Great guide, thanks to all the people involved
I've succesful completed the first flush with six cakes, lot of GT's compared to the Gupro starter kit! Appreciated even the growing of the mushroom, a very interesting being and quite beatiful creature.
Maybe next time I post some images, it will be good to know if from the look of the plant or mushroom some varations in misting or watering are needed.
The question is for the second flush, it's ok to do a dunk and roll again or the mycellium can take even the water from the bottom dishes?
Thanks

Thanks, tried the bottom watering, they are sucking up water like no tomorrow
Do you think I can use an infrared lamp to dry the fruits?

Got some difficulties with second flush, some bottom dishes were not closed so well and probably only small amount of water was absorbed, so some cakes were a little unresponsive, just one-two fruit at max (except one wich had a larger and water proof bottomdish) I tried with a plastic bottom and thats the result, maybe the fruit is a bit strange for other reasons, I don't know.

Did you dunk between flushes? Could also just be genetics. Cakes can be all over the place with yield ime.

If I understand you, you bottom watered rather than dunked and a few leaked and are drier?
If they're thirsty, puddle the water in the divot where the bottom of the jar used to be(looks like you placed them that way). I've read of injecting cakes w/water but never tried, or just spray em soggy until they stay wet.

Thanks for the write up Ziran. Used your updated Tek for my first jar and so far so good. Just a week into it and mycelium is growing. So Thank again for taking the time to write all that info in one place for people to use.

QUESTION: After inoculation of BRF jars, do you put anything over the holes?

No. Gas exchange is necesarry, the dry verm layer is your filter.
