Pretty sure someone arranged it last year but I don't think we've yet had someone really step up to take the reigns for Ol' Shlongy. Probably a good thing you brought it up early

I'm probably not the best person to ask as I've never actually participated. I remember him having a helper for starters. He'd do "background checks" on participants via their ratings and not allow whoever seemed untrustworthy or had no trade ratings at all. There was a minimum, I think it was $20-25 and he had to make sure international exchanges weren't an issue. I think they just didn't do them at all but I don't know. Shipping costs and all that. He'd pair Aussies, Europeans, ect. He made it seem like it was all a bit of work, not to discourage you but it's just worth mentioning. I'm sure if you find the old threads there's probably more detailed information than I'm giving you here.

I think that having at least a couple 5 mushroom trade ratings should be kept as a standard for people wanting to participate.

Also throw some polls on it.
But yeah. I'm just wondering what the budget should be, whether or not it's too early (i feel like we have to start early af to make sure everything goes smooth), I'm assuming it's just America here. standard 5 green shroom rating to play.

Last time I participated it was 25$ limit some went bigger but..US only to avoided huge shipping costs and shipping times. 5 star trade and general rating would be good. Can’t remember how it worked with the states that had stricter laws but I remember the pairings being randomly generated.

IIRC, we've done $20 and $25 limits in the past here.
A minimum of 2 5 mushroom trade ratings is what I was thinking, but fuck it. One is enough as long as it's real.
Maybe be willing to make exceptions for long standing members, but that means more work for you to organize it.

A roster of IDs and tracking numbers would be perfect and take care of some of the background check stuff too since nobody would do anything too stupid and if someone faked a tracking number or didn't send one in, the fact we are all expected to creates a prisoners dilemma not to be the one who doesn't turn in their code so even committing it would identify them if they broke the rules or acted maliciously.
