Texas ranch (several IDs requested)

So have a few that have been found around here and none have any spore print with them. It was a very long way out there with no wax paper or basket. :frown:
Next time will be different.

So first is a nice dung lover:




Next is another dung lover that sparkled with the dew just a little purple (was really awesome to see):





This next one is believed to be Lycoperdon marginatum (puff ball of sorts) or Lycoperdon perlatum:



This is a polypore of somekind:

Edit: Went for a small walk and found two more. Figure that it wont harm anything to add them.

This one was a nice little orenge.



This next one could be Hericium erinaceus? If so that would be so awesome.

Number 1 is Panaeolus papilionaceus you can tell because of the veil remenants on the cap margin, the black spores, and it growing on poo


#2 Is a parasola species.

#3 is def a lycoperdon species

The last one isn't a Hericium - they don't have a cap like that -they are just a mass, looking much like a huge bunch of snowflakes or icicles.

It is a toothed fungus. We don't have anything quite like that particular species in this area (we have plenty of Hericiums though), so I'm not intimately familiar with them, but the answer you got from Duggstar in your other thread looks like a pretty good one..

I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

I used this key to make that ID, which you might find useful, but I made one or two assumptions. If you go back to it and take some better photo's and gather a bit more information, we may be able to give you a positive ID.
