Looking okay, the yellow is a touch of bacteria most likely, so check you're not misting too much, and maybe increase your FAE slightly, loosen he top polyfil if you've got hole at the top as well

Thanks for the feedback. I assume then the bacteria will go away with less misting and more FAE? Definitely not gna taint the shrooms if all else goes to plan from here on out?

Bacteria will exist as long as there is a constant fuel source.
That tub is definitely too wet! I think the polyfil is too tight for sure.
Shrooms should be fine, although I would probably wanna make a tea or be sure they are dehydrated at proper pasteurization temps.

Before you start...Do you have a Pressure Cooker and a Dehydrator? I highly recommend getting both!

Thanks for the info, what temps should they be dehydrated at? I have a proper food dehydrator for the drying. Will sort out the cotton wool, increase FAE and stop misting so much.

I set my dehydrator on max which I believe is 170F.

Would 155 do it? Thats the max setting on mine? Also will these temps lower the mushrooms potency?

That's fine, just leave it running for 18-24hrs and they should be cracker dry by then. There is no effect on potency at these temps

For my first harvest ever i put fruits in dehydrator at 155F for 8 hours.. they were cracker dry, but after 2 weeks in glass jar with desiccant they started to bend again.. so now i run all big or small fruits for 24h at 155F.. today i tested some shrooms i dried 3+ weeks ago (also inside glass jar with silica-gel) they are great!.. i would say don't go under 12h even for small fruits..
