This is fucked, for sure. Not sure how this keeps happpening but I haven’t been able to get a single non contaminated growth yet with this mono tub way of doing it. I’m pissed off this time though and just scraped out the green sections and spider web looking spots and I’m going to let it finish and see how it works out. I just wanted to know if this is even possible to save at this point. My theory is to cut out the contaminated sections but they are probably already pretty spread out beneath the surface.

Cutting them out tends to just spread it worse.
You need clean spawn.

Hey, guys, Yea, I used a SAB. I thought I did everything right, wipe Down my working areas with rubbing alcohol and wear surgical gloves with sleeves and a hair cap and no fans running no open windows clean myself and clean all the materials beforehand twice. I’m thinking maybe it happens during the inoculation with the red rtv I used to make my lids maybe?
Otherwise they go straight from pressure cooker to inoculation to sit in the tub covered up until fully colonized and from there I soak the grains in a bucket and then dump them in the tub with my coir/Verm mix and plug it all up with duct tape.
I wipe the jars down with rubbing alcohol before handling them every time, and while inoculating I use one of those cooking torches to sterilize the needle between every jar. Not sure what else I could do other than get one of those fancy air flow hoods.

Don't inoculate grain jars with spores will help a lot.
