Here is a pic of my first flush (ever). I kind of expected to get some bigger fruit considering the strain is b+. Oh well, guess I'll take what I can get at this point.

Thanks for the good words guys. That is BRF cased in plain vermiculite. Nothing fancy, I think my fruiting chamber is the ghettoest one around (lets just say it started life as a cardboard box and plastic grocery bags). Had a little cobweb at first, but I seem to have gotten rid of that (H2O2). Got about 25 grams wet, but I'm still waiting on the straglers to see if they grow anymore.
I have another similar casing incubating right now. So, hopefully in a week or two I will have a second flush from this one and a first from the latter.
Any tips on how to get a nice second flush? Thanks.

expect a second flush sooner then a few weeks. also keep in mind that getting any weight above 3.5 grams is above avg for most ppl using one cake. sometimes the second flush is bigger than the first, just make sure to keep the conditions in order. keep up the good work

Don't feel bad my friend. I weighed my first ever growth today as well and only pulled in about 15 grams semi-dried. They are Mazetapecs so they are skinny to begin with. I also expected more, but reading that most of these people don't get it right on the first time makes me feel better. Also, it's plenty for myself and a couple of friends...all in all be happy it went successful

Yeah, don't worry. Live and learn and before long, you could be having great flushes.

My first few attempts yielded nothing but funky colored jars of contams. My first successfull attempt got me just a few weak looking (and low-potency) shrooms off a couple of cakes that contam'd not too long after their first crappy flush.. My second successfull attempt got me, and 3 friends completely fried one night. All it takes is practice and learning from mistakes.
I need to order a syringe or 4.... it's been too long!
