Success! My shoeboxes are looking great.:grin: Both of the B+ MS seem to be doing perty good. Getn a hell of a pin set, for my second attempt.

I Really dont count the cake I got going. Only pulled about 35g wet off of it so far(made tea).


Man was I excited the other night when I went to check on em and seen em pinning up!

I had em bagged, so I took the bags off and put the lids back on. I did that for about a day or so to lower the FAE. Now I'm back to having them bagged. I was reading somewhere that lower FAE is recommended for pinset and a higher FAE is recommended for the growth of the fruit to maturity. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

Doing my best to keep em happy. Misting em when needed while trying to avoid over misting my tubs, which is surprisingly hard to do...lol

I think you'll find that you can easily love them to death. Sometimes less is more.

This is very true. Even with PF jars the less you are hovering over the top of them breathing over them, the better.

Thanks! Yes I can see it already. I keep getting the feeling, more water=more/ bigger fruits...lol

I fight the urge and only mist when the sub looks a lighter color brown almost with a reddish tint. I do find the sides seem to have plenty moisture so I'm trying to hit the middle of the tub more than anything. I try and give it at least 24hrs between misting(if needed).

Definitely getting some side pins, I think one tub more than the other. May have been a fluffier mix, not sure? Not a big deal, seeing as my top layer seems to be a well suited environment for growth.

So hard not to spend alot time hovering over em tho.

It has become one of my favorite things to do, check out my shrooms and myc growth on plates...lol

Lemme ask ya, how are you working your lids at the moment? I've got 2 more minitubs that I just bagged. They were getn real close, shit one was pinning! I've had them lid snapped up until earlier this evening.

I do have the holes cut smaller in those bags, at least until I get a solid pinset. Then I will pull the cuts open a bit to allow for more FAE. I'm just hoping what I'm doing continues to work like it has so far.

Here are the tubs I just bagged. First one is rye berries, second tub is 2.5 cakes both a Fiji variety.

I dubtub- as in, i just place another shoebox upside down and on top with a binder clip on each end. i enjoy how easy it is to access and to be able to actually monitor my fruits.

Nice! I thought about doing it that way. I do like the fact of being able to check em out without disturbing em. I have limited space and the bag is working out perfectly so far.

I get to take lil peeks thru the holes in my bag...lol
