Gymnopilus luteus?

These were found in a piney area, along with some amanita muscaria finds in October. They appear to be gymnopilus to me, but I cannot get over the fact that the stipe isn’t wood-like. Is there a difference between the stipes of gymnopilus luteus and spectabilis? I would love some input on these because I am eager to consume before they rot :smile:

I am by no means an expert but these were some G. Luteus I found the other day for the first time https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25535093

They bruised very blue green when they dried n the smell was very nice and sweet.  But the spores are the key so print them boys

Those look more like paxilus or something similar to me. I dont think those are gymnopilus, but I could be wrong have been before
