I have never eaten meat, as I was raised a vegetarian (except for once I accidentally ate something that had a small amount of meat in it, which I only noticed half-way through)

NR messaged me on the growery, a site I've signed in on less than 5 times since it was born, just to rant about you and his banning. Then he ended it with how much he doesn't care about being banned.....

I dunno man, Bill came out of the gate recently real hate filled. He was extremely cruel, intolerant and judgemental in a lot of what he said.

Now, if one was to have loved ones in the group towards which he was bigoted, it is quite conceivable that he would harm them given the chance.

And BTW, harm is not only physical. To be on the receiving end of hate and judgement is also incredibly harmful to us, fragile creatures that we are.

I feel like this site has less and less new people as time goes on but the traffic from old people continues to constantly increase more and more and more and more.

That is whatever you think of it. I personally kind of agree. It sucks. To others this place is such a home they would not want to go elsewhere.

Overall it has had a lot of good moments and a lot of bad moments.

The main thing that keeps me from coming to this site constantly is I feel like the majority of population of people here are like males between the age of 27 and 35 or some shit. Which should be cool. Its not like tons of 17 year old kids or 18 year old kids or 19 year olds kids.

But wait! When did I sign up? Oh yeah like 14 years ago when I was just 20. I mean I think maybe I am off by a year or so but like....

sure I fit the age bracket of most of the population of this forum as it is now even if in a year or so I will basically be too old (:lol: at my stereotypes) but I am just saying FUCK wether I fit in now or not it means if I went back and signed up again when I did well....

This shit would suck for me. It is much more concisely organised of a web site now then it was then.... Well, sort of. :shrug: or maybe it just seems less edgy and yet most of the edgyness here got people in trouble. So it SEEMS more concisely organised.

I dont know i just dont feel like I am exploring some unknown interesting place on here anymore like I did in the middle 2000s before the twenty teens. Maybe less trouble now then it was then but also its like just so much more inhibited. I just dont feel this is a place that brings out the desire to try new things and meet new people and shit like that anymore.

Other people probably disagree. This is simply my take on it.

Also at a time I believe I would have tried to get as many people as I could to try and check this place out and give me their feedback wether they agreed or not it was their type of thing. Now I feel like I would be embarassed :shrug:

I am sorry just the truth. I am not a quantum physicist in any way shape or form but regardless if I told some friends to go argue quantum physics here Id be fucking embarassed like i was going to get shit thrown at me for even suggesting so. Of course if by suggesting so then they come over and argue quantum physics and it turned into a conversation about how their opinion clearly means they want to suck off Donald Trump and got a bunch of bad ratings for it then later made friends through private messages only to find out later most of the people they sent private messages to died somehow well then.... Yeah it would be a great suggestion.

You see where I am going with this? :smirk: sorry to be so brutally honest. Just my perception these days of what really floats around at this place.

He was literally asking for it.  I have no patience for people who go out of their way to be trolls or pain in the asses purely to cause trouble.  It's generally a good rule of thumb if you want to be a part of a community of people that you at least attempt to get along with them and don't go out of your way to make waves.

You've not been here long, and you're likely not acquainted with his rants.  As you get to know him over time you may change your mind.  His character/avatar is based off of a far right hate monger in the united states that got fired from fox news for decades of sexual harassment and assault.  But hey, he likes the guy.

Well, if you really think that then why wouldn't you enforce absolute decorum and allow him to be heard and say what his concerns are. Those concerns are only going to be bigger now, and there will potentially always be a little personal sting attached to the issue. He is definitely not going to be part of the blue midterm, but I bet he's less inclined to care about whatever gender thing in particular we were talking about now than he was before he started a topic inviting a community he cherishes and whose opinions he cares about because he cared that much about what you had to say.

It was bound to be heated, but there's a bigger picture and a finer line than just the one between posts.

I've said it for years. Mods are arbitrary and patronizing. I'd as a good part of why there aren't more posters. hilarious ones get banned, they give out bans like I its time-out and we should almost giggle 'tee hee, first ban'.





Bans should be rare, and said from serious things,blocking should be encouraged.

What's worse when some mod that didn't even post in a forum appears and warns you. Like, its obvious you don't read the thread, I haven't seen you ever post. If the thread metastasize and harm the forum? Could blocking sole the bickering? Then fuck off

And for the record, I like this site and some mods are good posters

This happens when another member of the community hits the notify button on a post you've made. All mods currently online get a message, and the first one of us that sees it will normally deal with it.

I don't like having to deal with such things anymore than you do. It's a PITA, but it's part of the job. I'd be very happy if it never happened again.

Perhaps if you toned it down, you wouldn't be on the receiving end?

Your constant 'White Kinghting' surrounding this issue is really making me lose respect for you. You seem bent on being an underdog and trying to defend actions which the vast majority of the community find despicable. And then not only that, you spend time metaphorically sucking the dick of the man you're trying to defend in other subforums.

It seems completely disingenuous to me. It doesn't strike me that you've any vested interest in moral justice here - rather - that you just wanna buddy up an outcast and be liked for it.
