You are, most definitely, a bad guy Bill. In this thread you have only displayed that you can be bigoted, hateful, power-hungry, judgemental, obsessive, and a coward to boot. And that you enjoy being so.

Why do you think you've seen so much backlash at the way you've handled this topic?

You can hide behind the your argument that 'it's for the kids man' - but it's plain to see to anyone with an iota of common sense that this is all about YOUR agenda.

Perhaps you missed this insightful post from another member who has personal experience with this issue. I would be interested in reading your answers to their questions too.

Bill you're kind of a dick. I respect very much you're willing to prioritize your long-term concerns over how others will treat you and think of you. If that somehow became a nonissue and you still disliked them, well that would make you a dick but it makes me uncomfortable for whatever reason so it's not like I'm going to judge you.

I would also still be very wary of allowing the government to deny privileges to entire swaths of people either way, and I wouldn't consider disallowing gays to adopt to be acceptable collateral damage. I also really appreciate that I can agree or disagree with you piecewise--it seems few here are willing to deconstruct emotionally charged topics into ideas that can be examined. Hard to find anyone between the front row and the projection room of plato's cave anymore.

If you would register yourself as nonbinary to the government for anything but a nonmedical reason, I don't think you should adopt. But if they do musical gender/sex/orientation a lot they'll end up able to make their own kids sometimes. Now we have created a microcosm of unequal ability to start a family within something that barely existed to begin with this had a right to exist in it's natural form instead of being coopted as a social justice beacon and really, really selfish hobby by people who would have never thought about it years ago*

*seriously: do you hear "tomboy" or "trans kid" more these days?

Obviously this is a nuanced thing and fortunately it's probably a trend.

i'm genuinely curious why you wouldn't have a civil discussion with Tantrika about your thread topics?  imo, Tantrika approached your thread with utmost civility and can provide you with a lot of insight into a problem with which you don't have to deal, man.  i know you were p upset at the time of those posts, but the way in which Tantrika approached it deserved a little more respect than what you provided, imo.

I've been called far, far, far worse. In one is so thin skinned as to find that hurtful, then one shouldn't be passing of harsh and cruel judgements on entire swathes of people that they've never met.

Another idea is to give like every single person in this thread who did any of that a short ban to demonstrate that we are all responsible for following the rules.
