Issue 1 in Ohio. Keeps low level drug offenders OUT of prison AND jail. Gives treatment and probation not time in prison or jail. Unless you really screw up and get something like 3 posession convictions in a certain time period.
Does not protect dealers, violent criminals or sex criminals.
The cops are really against this one BECAUSE Ohio spends OVER $1,000,000,000 a year locking up non-violent simple drug posession.
VOTE YES ON ISSUE 1!!!!

You say that, but look at your own state's marijuana program. Huge embarrassment that, as far as I can tell, no Ohioan really wanted. People were even getting arrested and thrown in jail for bringing out-of-state marijuana after having received their medical recommendations legally in Ohio.
I would also argue that at least 80% of the bills passed to legislation today (both local and federal) are always fitted with low-key clauses sneaking shit in (sometimes completely irrelevant to the rest of the bill) from some bought-out politician, again, influencing legislation without the public really choosing. Who, honestly, reads entire bills before choosing what to vote on them? The uninformed voter is a useful idiot.
Not to mention widespread gerrymandering to attempt to sway elections and force voters into choices that the majority might not agree with.
And because clearly you haven't seen this yet:
If you think this has been fixed, you're an idiot. The best you can hope for is voting on paper and hoping that your local vote counters care enough to do the right thing and not be bought out. But if you know anything about living in a small town in The United States, you know corruption is easily achieved and a lot of local government entities (especially police forces) are entirely bought out.
Voting is one of the many tools used to give us the illusion of choice. You're a prisoner whether you think you are or not.

Either way Ohio is trying to put on the Ballot a legalization of cannabis with no state limit. It's proposed to be up to the locals to limit.
This is actually a very good law (issue 1) and a first in the nation. So take that up your states fancy ass.

I been to cali. Needles, meth, junk, trash everywhere. Colorado costs way too much.
The falls are beautiful in Ohio. Not my fault you just went to the shitty parts for your drugs. Northeast Ohio and south east Ohio are not bad at all. Cleve, toledo, c-bus, cincinatti, akron, massilon, pretty much ghetto cities ya those suck. But get in the country and it's nice. Good cheap living too.
So good luck with your homeless population that can't afford $2800 month rent and million dollar homes.
My first apartment cost $325. My house cost $52,000 and is worth almost $90,000. I paid $1.69 for a bag of apples and $1.45 for a gallon of milk. Free natural gas at the farm. Taxes are cheaper here as well.
